By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1- Perform a phasor and inverse phasor transform, and transform a circuit with a sinusoidal source into the frequency domain. 2- Analyze AC circuit and use circuit analysis techniques to solve a circuit in the frequency domain: Kirchhoff’s laws, voltage and current division, node-voltage and mesh-current methods, Thevenin and Norton theorems, source transformation, superposition principle. 3- Define and calculate power (average, reactive, complex powers and power factor) in a sinusoidal AC circuit. 4- Calculate the transfer function for a circuit and represent its frequency response using Bode plot. 5- Describe first and second order passive filter configurations and design circuit component values to meet filter specifications 6- Calculate the Laplace and inverse Laplace transform of a function and analyze linear electric circuit in the s-domain |
