General objectives
On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to do the following:
1. Analyse the different configurations of passive and active filters
2. Describe the basic concept and principles of an oscillator
3. Identify the different configurations of the NE555
4. Analyse the fundamentals of the main sensor types


Content
- Main types of filters and filtering response: low pass filter, high pass filter, band pass filter, band rejection filter
- Study of oscillators
- Sensors: a short introduction and guide line for basic implementation
- Electronic functions and applications
- Study of the key functions of the NE555: monostable and astable configuration
