General objectives
- To be able to calculate and interpret descriptive statistics of samples and populations

- To demonstrate an understanding of random variables and their use applied to certain standard probability distributions (Binomial, Poisson and Normal)

- To demonstrate an understanding of the theory behind common statistical inference techniques and apply parametric hypothesis tests as appropriate

- To be able to implement on a professional software (MINITAB), a complete statistical analysis
