General objectives
The Innovation Project is a multidisciplinary teamwork experience where students from various engineering fields collaborate on a product innovation. Spanning two semesters, the project follows all phases of an R&D process—from opportunity analysis to technical development.
By the end of this phase, students will be able to:
Apply principles of creative thinking to generate innovative ideas
Use structured ideation methods to explore multiple solution paths
Synthesize and present a range of relevant solution concepts
Ensure alignment between proposed solutions and previously identified user needs
Content
Application of creative brain theory
Use of ideation techniques (e.g., brainstorming, SCAMPER, etc.)
Definition and synthesis of potential solutions
Clear description of how each solution addresses the issues highlighted in the user research phase
