General objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to
1. Estimate electical losses (heat generation) in an electromechanical device.
2. Decompose an electromechanical device in order to apply the thermal network method.
3. Make a basic numerical simulation based on CFD method in order to study both convective and radiative thermal exchange.
4. Use previously acquired knowledge and skills in a group project, while respecting imposed specifications and managing time and resources.
Content
Group Project structured around various sessions of group work with access to the necessary computer resources.
Corequis
Basic knowledge in Electrical Machines; Advanced Heat Transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
