The aim of the Metrology course is to introduce basic knowledge about experimental uncertainties.
Content
1 lecture provides theoretical background: precision & accuracy, systematic & random errors, uncertainty quantification (types A & B)
3 practical works provide applied situations: one in mechanics (period of a pendulum), one in chemistry (volume of gas produced during a reaction) and one in electricity (Ohm's law).
