Learning Outcomes
At the end of the first year, the student engineer must go on a 13 to 16 week-long internship in a company or research center where he/she will be given different missions according to his study level. The student's 5 main objectives will be: 1. Understand a company's organization and operation, with particular attention to relationships with peers. 2. Elaborate a professional project after discovering and choosing a specific type of trade and an industrial sector of activity 3. Develop capacities for adaptation, use and transfer of knowledge when facing open problems. 4. Develop new skills in terms of work organization and social interactions. 5. Unfold and develop his/her open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity.

Content
During this applied engineering internship (13 to 16 weeks, starting at the end of year 3), the engineering student joins a company or a university laboratory with the objective of taking on a variety of tasks and assignments that correspond to his/her level of studies.

1	The oral defense is the student's opportunity to present his/her work to an assessment panel, who will have read the student's report. The student may justify certain choices made, express any difficulties encountered and explain the results that were obtained.	0.5	Oral report
2	The written report must be an objective and rational summary of the work experience and of the personal analysis with regards to the student's role and performance in the workforce. It must not only cover the work that has been accomplished by the student, but also present a clear overview of the workplace and industry, through the student's keen and personal observation.	0.5	Written exam
